How We
Score
A score is only useful if you can see what it rewards, what it cannot know, and where we choose not to guess.
01 - The four-pillar read
The score starts with one question: can we trust the label?
Every HYROX product pick gets a 100-point CleanLabel° read. The score rewards labels that show what matters, doses that fit the job, formats that make sense for HYROX, and value based on a useful serving rather than filler weight.
Protein products also use the CleanLabel° protein lens: amino-spiking risk, protein claim credibility, sweetener and additive load, and third-party evidence where it exists.
02 - Sources
We use labels first, evidence next, marketing last.
| Tier | What counts | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Strongest | Sport-certification registries, independent tests, exact supplement facts. | Can support a pick when the SKU matches. |
| Useful | Brand product pages, retailer labels, pack size, and price snapshots. | Used only when they show the actual formula and serving. |
| Context | Brand positioning, athlete sponsorships, category reputation. | Never enough by itself for a score. |
03 - Certification and trust
A trust badge helps only when it matches the exact product.
The clean-label pillar recognises sport-certification and testing signals such as Informed Sport, Informed Choice, NSF Certified for Sport, Trustified, brand-published COAs, and WADA-free positioning. They are helpful, but they are not interchangeable. A brand-level claim does not automatically apply to every flavour, pack size, or India SKU.
Trustified is included because it is a relevant India blind-testing signal for label accuracy, amino-spiking, and contaminants. It is useful evidence, but it still has to match the exact product being scored.
04 - What the score cannot know
The score is a filter, not a guarantee.
A label cannot fully prove contamination risk, storage history, batch drift, or whether a product agrees with your gut. It also cannot prove that a clean ingredient list is right for your timing. A real-food bar can be clean and still be a poor race-morning move.
The HYROX score is a buying and rehearsal filter. It is not a medical recommendation, not a guarantee of batch purity, and not a promise that more supplements mean more performance.
05 - Freshness
Always check the current label before you buy.
The initial HYROX catalog uses product data captured in June 2026 and updated for this release on 3 July 2026. Prices are snapshots, and import availability can change quickly. Before purchase, check the current product page, pack size, and label.
